Early potatoes, carrots, cherries
Yay! The time of year is finally here again when fresh and juicy early potatoes are ready to be dug. Early potatoes are planted in February and March, and covered with foil. They owe their tenderness and thin, edible skin to the short vegetation period. However, unlike "normal" potatoes, early potatoes can only be stored for about two weeks.
In addition to early potatoes, June is also the time for cherries. Unlike last year's crop, which was virtually ruined by frost and hail, we can look forward this year to a bumper harvest!
