WHAT IS TOP 50 FARMERS?

Top 50 Farmers aspires towards a future where regenerative farming practices are the universal standard in agriculture. By spotlighting the work of European regenerative farmers who are leading the transition, Top 50 Farmers is an acceleration platform creating pathways for connection, access to capital, market opportunities, and peer-to-peer networks to foster collaboration and scale regenerative farming across Europe.

Why we need more farmer role models
More and diverse role models are needed to show that agriculture can be good for people and the environment. By showcasing and sharing the stories of Swiss farmers who are practicing regenerative agriculture, we can attract more farmers to apply these principles, inspiring the next generation to pursue a career in farming, while also educating consumers.

Who can apply for Top 50 Farmers?
Top 50 Farmers is open to any farmer based in the EU, EEA, Switzerland, or UK who has transitioned to or is in the process of transitioning to regenerative agriculture practices.

ACCESS TO MARKETS & FINANCING
Farmers possess valuable ideas and firsthand experience essential for advancing the regenerative movement. At Top 50 Farmers, we aim to learn from you to shape our platform and create new opportunities. As we develop the Top 50 Farmer Recognition Program, you’ll gain access to forums for sharing feedback with decision-makers, along with mentorships, roundtables, and learning sessions to support your efforts. Our goal is to make regenerative agriculture the industry standard, paving the way for new markets and financing opportunities that benefit you and the community of regenerative farmers.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

November 11, 2024: Nominations Open
If you are a farmer, you can apply directly. If you know a farmer that should be nominated for this award, you can nominate them. To be notified when applications open, sign up for the newsletter here.

March 2025: Celebration of the Top 50
If selected, you will receive an email from our team in February 2025. If you are not selected, you will still gain access to the Top 50 Farmers Network, a database of nonprofits and resources that support regenerative farmers in Europe. The farmers will be celebrated at a Recognition Ceremony in March 2025.
