Esther Kern, Monika Janicka, Saran Hochuli

Journalist, author, and vegetable scout Esther Kern is the mind behind Leaf to Root, an internationally acclaimed reference work on vegetables. She also develops her own range of vegetable delicacies. At the event, she will showcase a variety of exotic regional plants and their culinary uses. Monika Janicka is the manager of blindenkuh Zürich and previously headed the Hiltl Academy at the world’s oldest vegetarian restaurant. Together with head chef Philipp März, she will be serving delicious bites at this workshop — including exotic flavors sourced from plants growing just around the corner in Patumbah Park. A well-known restaurateur from Zurich, Sara Hochuli, has run the café and pâtisserie Miyuko since 2011, delighting guests with exquisite, imaginative treats. At the event, she will demonstrate how exotic regional ingredients can be used to create unique sweet creations.
