Olivier Geissbühler
- Best suited for:
Fungus-resistant grape varieties – known as PIWI – are the rising stars of sustainable viticulture. They require significantly less crop protection and are more resilient to climate change than traditional varieties. Although they’ve long had a reputation for lacking complexity, experts around the world are now focusing on making PIWIs as exciting and nuanced as Albariño or Riesling.
In this workshop and tasting you'll sample a curated selection of PIWI wines and learn how character, origin, and the unique signature of each winemaker come to the fore in these new varieties. Delinat’s PIWI expert Olivier Geissbühler will lead you through both the tasting and the deeper context behind these innovative wines.
Friday, 31 October 2025 – for interested professionals
Saturday, 1 November 2025 – for curious beginners
This event is presented in collaboration with Delinat.
